No bull, Nebraska has some real recruiting traction
Nebraska wraps up a month of visits with a few big additions as the dead period begins.
Another Tuesday, another football recruiting update. I know I said we’d shift gears after last week’s update, but there are some loose ends we need to see through.
After all, it’s been a packed June with official visits, photoshoots—that included tractors and livestock—and a final push before a now 75-day dead period. The Huskers are walking away from all of that with three new commitments. So far.1
On Monday alone, Nebraska landed two important pledges for its 2026 recruiting class. The first came from four-star cornerback Danny Odem of Orlando, Florida. Later in the day, three-star running back Jamal Rule out of Charlotte, North Carolina, joined him.
They followed Anaheim (Calif.) tight end Luke Sorensen,2 who kicked off last weekend with his commitment on Friday.
Add it up and Nebraska’s 2026 class now includes eight members, four of whom committed in June. While it took a few weeks for the Huskers to find their rhythm in this cycle, coach Matt Rhule and staff appear to have real momentum heading into July.
