okay, THANK YOU. It's so silly to consider his NFL career when thinking of him as a Husker and a college athlete, but I feel like so much of the discourse is drowned out by noisy Eagles fans (in the times he comes up in discussion)

I agree. The NFL epilogue is hard to resist, and I get it. If you think Ameer Abdullah was one of the best RBs in Nebraska history, that he's had a 10-year NFL career--even if it hasn't been impossible to miss--can be supporting evidence. It's particularly tough in this kicker discussion because Butler and Hanson both had great NFL careers.

But we're not talking about the Professional Football Hall of Fame. So I would just reiterate that Henery missed 2 field goals inside 50 yards on 38 attempts. TWO! If the primary objective for any kicker is being a guy the team can count on to get points, I'd be surprised if anyone did that better than Alex Henery. Maybe as good, but it's hard to be better.
