I agree. If you're reading on desktop or mobile, they are clickable links that will bounce you down and back up with another click. Or, you can hover over the footnotes and they'll pop up so you don't have to scroll at all. But, and I didn't realize this until it went live, none of that functionality is available in email, which means the footnotes just become annoying there. Probably have to drop them going forward for that reason.
