This spring has been no different. We first saw it with the introduction of the guardian caps. Now we’re seeing it in how players are responding to the work of Kristin Coggin — the director of football nutrition — and her staff.
Take Riley Van Poppel, for example. The defensive lineman played 11 games as a true freshman for Nebraska last fall, but he realized quickly what he was up against on a d-line in the Big Ten.
