😂 It will be a stunning achievement if so. Per Team Rankings' database, there hasn't been an FBS v. FBS game with a total lower than 30.5...and that just happened last week (Minnesota-Iowa). There have only been five games since '08 with a total lower than 34, but I'm guessing Iowa-Nebraska will add to that total at the very least.
The College Football Nerds model puts that game at 16.1-6.6 in favor of Nebraska as of this week, for whatever that's worth.
We have a new goal for Iowa-Nebraska--the Hawkeyes' trip to Northwestern this week opened with the total at 29.5. We'll see where it settles (I'm guessing above 30), but according to PFF Bet it's the "lowest total in history." Of course, that means the lowest total in recorded history, which I'm guessing dates to about the mid-90s.
Also, because I wrote the above, 3-of-5 Big Ten games went over this week.
The Nebraska-Iowa line is going to be 9.5 isn't it
