The Unknowables 26: What if the offense is 'explosive and swaggy?'
In terms of program shortcuts, turnovers might be the fastest one but explosive plays aren't far behind.
“Honestly, I can say,” said Nebraska wide receiver Nyziah Hunter, “this offense is very explosive and swaggy.”
Wait, don’t stop reading. I know this is the type of thing most Husker fans have spent the offseason avoiding. I know it’s just talk until we see it.
I don’t know if this offense will be explosive and swaggy. Last year’s wasn’t. This year’s is still under construction. Hunter, who led NU’s regular-rotation receivers in yards per catch and had the most receptions of 15-plus yards* in 2025, would know more about what this offense could be at this very moment.
But I don’t expect anyone to just take his words and accept them as true. The recent past has been too hard on Husker fans for that. Also, what else is Hunter supposed to say? On the first day of fall camp, you’d want any player anywhere to believe—and say, if asked—anything is possible.
Hunter said something specific is possible, and all we’re doing today is considering a reasonable question: What if he’s right?
