As 2023 comes to a close, it’s time to turn the page to the next. Or, in my case, it’s time to clear out the recorder and notes as I prepare for what 2024 will bring in the world of Nebraska Athletics.

Whenever I do this, I always discover small stories and anecdotes that never turned into something more. At least not yet.

Keeping with tradition, I’m clearing out the notebook once again. Instead of keeping some of these stories and anecdotes to myself, however, I’ve decided to share them with you.

First, I want to say thank you for being a subscriber of Counter Read. Your support has meant so much through a year filled with so much change. And if you’re not yet a subscriber, we’d love to have you. The year ahead is looking bright, and we can’t wait to share it with you.

On to the stories.
