Seven weeks from now, Nebraska will open the 2025 season against Cincinnati at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City. Today, however, marks another beginning of sorts:

The unofficial start of college football season.

As of this morning, Big 12 Media Days officially kicks off, the first of many events that signal the transition from summer speculation to actual football. You’ll start to hear from coaches, from players and from analysts who have formed opinions based on roster changes and team schedules.

Some of it will be insightful. Some of it will be fluff. But it all points to the same thing: football is coming.
