Sean Padden is a fan of chaos theory.

Nebraska football’s general manager — who has been with coach Matt Rhule for nine of his 11 seasons as a head coach — calls it “geeking out” when he dives into the topic.

According to Wikipedia:

“Chaos theory is an interdisciplinary area of scientific study and branch of mathematics. It focuses on underlying patterns and deterministic laws of dynamical systems that are highly sensitive to initial conditions. These were once thought to have completely random states of disorder and irregularities.”

What does this have to do with football? For someone like Padden, it has everything to do with football.
