Rhule is right, you can't waste these moments

Coach Matt Rhule said he hates moments like the one Nebraska was in on Saturday, but that you can't waste it. He's right, and it's relatable beyond football.

“I always just feel like you hate these moments, but you can’t waste these moments.”

That’s what coach Matt Rhule had to say when asked about Nebraska’s reaction to its loss to Michigan on Saturday. There was more to the statement, of course, but it’s the line that stood out to me most. Rhule spent his time at the podium sharing what the Huskers will do now and the recurring theme was to learn and move forward. 

We’ll get to that later in this newsletter though. This felt like a week in Nebraska Athletics that was summed up well by that one line from Rhule.

Some moments can be hard. You can hate them and you can wish they were different, but you also don’t want to waste them. There’s plenty to learn and take forward.

It’s fitting, especially as we reflect on some of the biggest storylines of the last week.
