Nebraska’s June recruiting work is moving on two tracks

A lot happened Saturday in Lincoln. The Huskers hosted the second annual Battle of the Boneyard, ran a full day of seven-on-seven and lineman competition, brought prospects from around the country to Lincoln and unveiled new uniforms inside the Hawks Championship Center.

Nebraska left the weekend with somewhere between 15 and 20 new offers, most of them going to players in the 2028 and 2029 classes. Then the 2027 class added two more commitments in the days that followed, first from defensive back Brennan Drummond and then from in-state offensive lineman Barrett Kitrell.

That is a pretty good snapshot of where Nebraska is right now, but there’s more to discuss. Let’s dive in.
