Nebraska volleyball is still No. 1 in the country this week and for good reason. The Huskers have already beaten three Top 10 opponents in the opening two weeks of the Dani Busboom Kelly era.

If Nebraska’s win over No. 7 Kentucky in Nashville proved anything, it’s that not every night is going to look clean. Sometimes, the mark of a championship team is the ability to survive rough stretches, make tough adjustments and still walk away with a result that matters.

That’s what Nebraska did in the Broadway Block Party at Bridgestone Arena on Sunday. A national television audience on ABC saw the Huskers fall into a two-set hole, switch lineups on the fly and ride Harper Murray’s best match yet to complete a reverse sweep.

It wasn’t flawless volleyball but it might have been Nebraska’s most important performance so far.
