Nebraska isn’t waiting around

As the Huskers' post-season plans came into view on Sunday, Nebraska was working on a number of non-bowl related items.

Nebraska is bowling for the second straight season. The Huskers are set to face Utah in the Las Vegas Bowl, and it’s a trip to Allegiant Stadium with ESPN airing it to a national audience.

It’s also a trip to face an opponent with a 10-2 record, a physical identity and one of the best rushing attacks in the country. It’s a meaningful December opportunity.

And yet the moment it became official Sunday afternoon, Nebraska was working on a number of non-bowl related items. The Las Vegas Bowl matters to the Huskers, of course, but coach Matt Rhule is also shifting his team in real time.

Multiple coaching changes have been made so far, while the NIL landscape shifted once again for the Huskers. Hey, as Rhule said earlier in the year, “when I know, I know.”
