Nebraska football has spent a lot of time over the last decade being reminded of how long it had been since something good happened. One of those things was how long it had been since the Huskers were 4-0.
Well, Nebraska is 4-0 now.
The Huskers went to East Lansing on Saturday and beat Michigan State 31-13, giving Nebraska its first 4-0 start since 2016 and its first win in a Big Ten opener since 2019. It was also Nebraska’s first victory at Michigan State since 2012.
That’s good, of course. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.
That said, Matt Rhule is already making sure no one gets too comfortable.
