Let's not jinx things for Nebraska basketball . . .
Let’s not jinx it, but this looks like an NCAA Tournament team for the Nebraska men’s basketball team.

No, seriously.
Nebraska took down Indiana 86-70 on Wednesday night, improving to 12-2 on the season and 2-1 in Big Ten play. The win also snapped a seven-game losing streak for the Huskers against the Hoosiers.
“A really good, complete win for us,” head coach Fred Hoiberg said following the game. “I’ve used the word ‘consistency’ with our group, talked about that from the day we got back from the break, and I thought tonight was about as consistent as we’ve been for 40 minutes.”
Consistency is a good word. Confidence is another.
Guard Keisei Tominaga used it to describe how he feels once he gets in a rhythm and he was certainly in a scoring rhythm in the second half against Indiana. Tominaga scored 18 of his game-high 28 points in the second half against the Hoosiers, but he was consistent from start to finish on defense. There’s a reason players like forward Juwan Gary tweeted something about the defense (accompanied by a skull and crossbones emoji, in reference to the Blackshirts).
Oh, there’s also this photo of Tominaga holding a goat because of course there is.
“It wasn’t all flamethrowers and four-wheelers to start it, but we came out and we had a couple good stops and good plays and really just kinda got us back in that groove,” forward Josiah Allick said. “That’s when Keisei just opened up and then kinda blew the doors off.”
But I’m not here to recap the game in full. At this point, you likely know what happened. It’s been two days. Instead, let’s go back to what I said to start this — Nebraska is likely an NCAA Tournament team — and evaluate what we’re looking at when it comes to the Huskers and post-season play.
Let’s dive into some of the details.
