Lauren Stivrins suits up one more time for Nebraska volleyball
Lauren Stivrins, the former Nebraska All-American blocker who graduated in 2021, was back in uniform for Nebraska for one night only.

The whispers spread quickly across the bleachers closest to the court. The player who had emerged from Nebraska’s locker room was wearing No. 26, and she sure looked familiar. Bright blonde hair and tall . . . Was it truly who we all thought it was?
Yes, Lauren Stivrins, the former Nebraska All-American blocker who graduated in 2021, was back in uniform for Nebraska for one night only. She was even introduced before the match, which garnered a loud response from the crowd on hand.
Erin Smith, the equipment manager for volleyball, had dug up Stivrins’ original No. 26 jersey. It wasn’t an exact match for what the rest of the team was wearing — including long sleeves — but it didn’t matter.1
“It was obviously the wrong color,” Stivrins shared post-match. “But I’m really stoked. This whole experience, just being back here, is so cool.”
