Nebraska missed out on a double-bye in this week’s Big Ten Women’s Basketball Tournament by a bucket. Sunday’s 74-73 loss at Illinois bumped the Huskers down to the 5-seed this week in Minneapolis. That still earned Nebraska a first-round bye.

The Huskers face the winner of 12-seed Purdue and 13-seed Northwestern. That game is Thursday afternoon at…let’s call it 2-ish Central? (You know we’ve reached March and its glorious buffet of tournaments when all I can officially tell you is NU will play 25 minutes after the game before it—Maryland vs. Illinois—is over. This is inconvenient but charming.)
