Get ready for a big spring of major volleyball
Professional volleyball is back in the United States. This time, there's a new league in town and even more to look forward to this spring.
Professional volleyball is back in the United States,1 with the first serve of League One Volleyball (LOVB) taking place last night (Wednesday, Jan. 8) between Salt Lake and Atlanta. On the Pro Volleyball Federation (PVF) side of things, the league’s first serve is scheduled for tonight (Thursday, Jan. 9) between San Diego and Orlando.
Omaha will be on display between both leagues, with each selecting the city as a founding location. This is PVF’s second season — the Omaha Supernovas won the inaugural league championship in 2024 — and LOVB’s first. Although, LOVB isn’t exactly new to this either.
