Garret McGuire offers insight and more during inaugural Fly Like Chi coaches roundtable
Garret McGuire recently joined the inaugural Fly Like Chi coaches roundtable, offering thoughts and guidance for local high school coaches.
In his second season as Nebraska’s wide receivers coach, Garret McGuire has quickly put in the work on the recruiting trail for the Huskers. He earned rave reviews nearly immediately from both the players he inherited, as well as from those he met out on the recruiting trail.
One aspect McGuire brings to the table at Nebraska is his understanding of the Texas recruiting landscape. Having lived it personally — and watched his dad work within it too — McGuire has seen what does and doesn’t work on one of the biggest stages of high school football in the country.
That’s why when Fly Like Chi, the nonprofit organization founded by Huskers receiver Malachi Coleman, recently hosted a “Coaches Roundtable” discussion, McGuire was the man invited to offer insight.
A few coaches from the Lincoln area — which ranged in sports and was not specific to just football – attended the inaugural roundtable discussion at Muchachos. The group discussed a wide range of topics on how to best set the Lincoln community and its student-athletes up for success.
