College football, it is a-changin'
Matt Rhule was in attendance as the guest speaker for last Friday’s High School Broyles Award, where he shared thoughts on how the game is changing and more.

One of those stops was Hot Springs, Arkansas, on Valentine’s Day.
Rhule was in attendance as the guest speaker for last Friday’s High School Broyles Award, an award that mirrors the Broyles Award and was awarded one night prior to Notre Dame defensive coordinator Al Golden. The High School Broyles Award is presented to the best assistant football coach in each state.
Norfolk Catholic defensive coordinator Tim Kassmeier earned the honor for Nebraska.
That wasn’t all Rhule was up to in Arkansas. When Iowa’s Phil Parker couldn’t make it for the Broyles Award weekend — which included a horse race named in Parker’s honor — Rhule stepped in.
But it wasn’t just his willingness to accept an award for a rival team’s coach that caught attention. It was also what he said to the crowd Friday night.
