3 questions for NU ahead of the Pinstripe Bowl
Bowl games are fact-finding missions. So, what facts are we after?
If you can see through the holiday haze—at least it’s hazy around here, your mileage may vary—Nebraska’s bowl game came into a bit more focus on Thursday. Offensive coordinator Dana Holgorsen, defensive coordinator John Butler, quarterback Dylan Raiola and defensive lineman Ty Robinson met with media ahead of next week’s Pinstripe Bowl against Boston College.
The question-and-answer session didn’t offer anything groundbreaking, but it did point me toward a few new questions about the Huskers’ first postseason game since 2016.
1) How does NU hold up in the front seven?
Nebraska is in the unique position—of its own making, of course—to have outgoing players the caliber of Ty Robinson and Nash Hutmacher play in this game. They both have NFL futures and at this point in college football’s ongoing evolution it’s more surprising for players in that category to play than to not.1
That’s the good news—the Huskers will have what was one of the best d-line duos in the country all season long available for a non-playoff bowl game. The bad news?
